Finex - Hamilton Site. Design and Installation of Aluminium Anodising Plant

Project Description:

TURN KEY PROJECT
We were very fortunate to have a client who allowed us to design the entire
electrical scope for this project from conception to commissioning.

Work carried out included:

Power and distribution - Calculate proposed load and specify
11KV/400V main transformer (1000KVA).
Design of main switchboard and outwork manufacture.
Install main switchboard and distribution board complete with
sub-mains and sub-circuits.
Install Anodising units power and control cabling. Unit size typically
180-240KVA.
Provide cabling to 380KW chilled water plant with associated pumps
and controls.
Design and install industrial fibre optic cable network (to avoid RF interference) to serve as communication backbone for remote I/O
and access to office main server network.
Design and build PLC/MCC cabinet for central plant control. Install Allan Bradley Control Logix PLC with Ethernet network to Remote I/O at all distribution boards and also to the HMI Panelview Plus screen.
Write all PLC software and configure all Panelview Plus screens
including PID heating and cooling loops.
Design process timer and signalling system for operators.
Commission entire plant in conjunction with client expertise, overseas supplier of anodising plant, refrigeration and heating engineers.
Post commission - provide power quality survey to determine
harmonic levels, load profiles and main transformer derating
factor.
